Gloria Boyce

My name is Gloria Boyce, and I was born and raised in New York. I have been teaching for 17 years. I have a BS in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University, an MS in Elementary Education from Iona College, and an MS in Middle School 5-9 and Students with Disabilities from Mercy College.

I have worked for 17 years as a Special Education Teacher, Literacy SP, and Instructional Coach. In 2009, I received my Level 1 Certification in the Wilson Reading System Program and went on to receive my Level II in 2010.

In 2017, I became an Wilson Language Trainer and Dyslexia Therapist. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, and shopping. I enjoy working with students that require a little more TLC than others.

My favorite quote is “There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs!” I am the one on the stairs helping the students reach the top!
